1 Corinthians 12:12-27 uses the human body as a metaphor for the church, highlighting the unity and diversity of believers. Just as a body is made up of many different parts that work together, the church is composed of individuals with diverse gifts and roles, all contributing to the functioning of the whole.

For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Mashiach.

For by one Ruach (are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Yahudiym or of the other nations, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Ruach.

The Hebrew word “ruach” (ืจืึผืึท) translates to breath, wind, spirit, or life force.
